Doctors for St. John’s Mercy is a group of physicians who share the mission of St. John’s Mercy Medical Center – to implement and advocate for innovative health and social services to improve the health and quality of life of communities served, with particular concern for people who are economically poor.
Through a cooperative effort with St. John’s Mercy Foundation, the Medical Executive Committee and St. John’s Mercy Administration, Doctors for St. John’s Mercy works to build and maintain a community of charitable support from physicians. These efforts will help improve patient care, services and access for all individuals regardless of their ability to pay, while helping to attract and retain the best and brightest medical talent. The community’s health depends on it.
In today’s challenging health care environment, reimbursements are dwindling and limited capital must be carefully allocated. Developing a state-of-the-art destination campus, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to caring for the underserved and uninsured, calls attention to the need for philanthropic support from physicians and from the community as a whole.
Physicians making annual gifts totaling $1,000 or more are recognized as members of Doctors for St. John’s Mercy – a special physician group within the Mercy Society.
(The Mercy Society is a recognition program for all donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually)

“My friends and family receive excellent care at St. John’s Mercy. I give to St. John’s Mercy Foundation to help provide that same care for the entire community, especially those who cannot afford it. I’m proud to serve St. John’s Mercy as both a physician and a donor.”

“Our ability to continue advancing research, clinical programs and technology depends in large part on the generosity of donors from the community. Supporting St. John’s Mercy Foundation gives grateful patients an opportunity to make a lasting impact as a form of gratitude.”
