Clinical Measures:  Lead Screenings

What we measured:  Based on a representative sample of patient charts from each physician, SJMMG looked at the number of children age 2 years and younger who received lead screenings.

HP 2010, NCQA and HEDIS do not specify lead screening goals among their objectives.

The Missouri Dept. of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has published the state-wide lead screening rates for children younger than 6 years of age for the two most recent fiscal years (July 1-June 30) for which data are available:  FY2003 and FY2004.   SJMMG’s data, while more recent, has been at a consistent level since this measure was implemented.
