Meet Our Doctors

Debbie Ducar, D.C
Dr. Ducar is a graduate of Logan University, College of Chiropractic. After graduation she was employed by Logan as a Research Resident for two years where she was instrumental in the preparation of multiple studies for the research department. Through that position she was the Attending Chiropractic Physician at the Musculoskeletal Pain in Pregnancy Clinic at Barnes Hospital where she specialized in the treatment of pregnant women. One of her studies, co-authored by Clayton Skaggs D.C, Conservative Management of Groin Pain During Pregnancy: a Descriptive Case Study, is published in the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine. During this time Dr. Ducar was also a laboratory assistant at Logan teaching upper level Rehabilitation courses.

Dr. Ducar is credentialed in Full Body Active Release Technique and Board Certified in Acupuncture. She holds additional certifications in Head, Neck and Orofacial Rehabilitation and is enrolled in the chiropractic rehabilitation diplomate program through Southern California University of Health Sciences. Dr. Ducar works at St. John’s Mercy Sports and Therapy located at Olive and Mason as well as the David C. Pratt Cancer Center.

Michelle Smith, D.C.
Dr. Smith received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic and also a post doctorate in Acupuncture. She is licensed in the state of Missouri as a chiropractic physician and is board certified in Acupuncture. After graduation, Dr. Smith had a private practice in St. Charles, MO. For the past five years, she has served as the Manager of Holistic Health Services for St. John’s Mercy

   

M. Scott Unnerstall, DC
Dr. Unnerstall received his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1997 from Logan College of Chiropractic. He is licensed in Missouri and is board certified in Acupuncture. He is a faculty member of Logan College of Chiropractic. Dr. Unnerstall is available for appointments at St. John's Mercy Center for New Health Options in Chesterfield and at St. John's Mercy - Tesson in South County.

Pilar Williamsen, D.C., FIAMA
Dr. Williamsen is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford Ohio (B. Phil. Hon.), Appalachian State University in Boone, NC (Pre-Med), and Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO (D.C., Acup). She is Board certified in Acupuncture and is a fellow of the International Association of Medical Acupuncture. In addition to working with St. John’s Mercy Center for New Health Options, Dr. Williamsen is in private practice in Town and Country, MO. She also serves on the faculty of Sanford Brown College. Dr. Williamsen is a member of Mortar Board, International, and Phi Beta Kappa.
