Acupuncture
Acupuncture
has been used worldwide for more than 2,500 years. This traditional Chinese
therapeutic technique involves the use of hair-thin disposable needles on
specific points throughout the body. These points, which are along meridians,
are believed to be connected to specific areas or organ systems of the body.
By treating points along a particular meridian or group of meridians, a problem/condition
of the body can be treated.
Acupuncture
has been documented to be beneficial in the treatment of numerous conditions,
including but not limited to low back pain, neck pain, menstrual cramps,
arthritis, headaches, nausea related to both pregnancy and chemotherapy,
asthma, tennis elbow and other tendonitis/bursitis, myofascial pain, carpal tunnel
syndrome, and nicotine/alcohol addiction.
