"Hats Off to Hospice" Fashion Show Luncheon
The
2007 Hats Off to Hospice Fashion Show Luncheon was held on Thursday May
10, 2007 at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac, with fashions for all by Talbots
of Plaza Frontenac. Our special hosts for this event were hospice volunteers
Keryn Shipman, Chief Meteorologist at CW11 and Mike Roberts, Meteorologist
at KSDK / Newschannel 5.
The event began with a chance to browse the Silent Auction and shop the Fashion
Boutique of more than a dozen talented local craft persons and vendors. With
a wonderful array of items available, over 230 guests enjoyed the great shopping
opportunities, and a chance to visit with friends.
Lunch was served at noon, followed immediately by the Fashion Show, which featured
a stunning selection of summer fashions by Talbot’s of Plaza Frontenac. Keryn
Shipman and Mike Roberts provided the lively commentary and Fashion Show Coordinator,
and Hospice Volunteer Gail Lasater, Director of West Models, Inc. again created
a wonderful array of lively and fun scenes with perfect choreography and a little
originality. Fashions were modeled by our wonderful hospice volunteers, supporters
and even KMOV-Channel 4 Morning Traffic Reporter and Y98 Afternoon Show Host
Paul Cook along with local entertainer Ralph Butler. Fashion ranges on display
included misses, women, men, children and young adults.
This Year, winners of our Special
Hat Prizes were:
Most Colorful – Patty Clark

Most Elegant – Kathleen Niemeyer
Most Original – Mildred “Mike”
Winscott
We would like to thank all of our guests for their generosity, our volunteer
models for their dedication and support, and a special thank you to our
Special Events Volunteer Committee, our Fashion Show Coordinator Gail
Lasater, and
to Judy and Charlene of Talbot’s Women at Plaza Frontenac for all their
hard work to pull the event together!
Each year St. John's Mercy Hospice hosts several special events to

the St. Louis area. St. John's Mercy Hospice is affiliated with St. John’s
