Dr. Schein received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass. He graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, New York, and completed his internship at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Fla. Dr. Schein completed his medical residency at the Norwalk Hospital, an affiliate of the Yale University School of Medicine, in Norwalk, Conn. Dr. Schein was a solo practitioner in Wilton, Connecticut, for ten years. He voluntarily taught residents at Norwalk Hospital, for which he was awarded the Attending Physician Teacher Award in 1994. Prior to joining the Mercy Hospitalist program in January 2004, Dr. Schein practiced internal medicine in a multispecialty group in the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. Dr. Schein is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Schein enjoys reading, and spending time with his family.
