Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The Library is closed on weekends and all holidays. For 24 hour access contact the library at 251-6340.
Who can use the Library?
The Thomas F. Frawley Medical Library is open to physicians, coworkers, volunteers and patients affiliated with St. John's Mercy Health Care, St. John's Mercy Medical Center, St. John's Mercy Hospital, Mercy Medical Group and Unity Health Services. What is OVID and how do I obtain a password?
OVID provides access to online databases, including MEDLINE, Clinical Evidence, CINAHL, the Cochrane Collection, Evidence-based Medicine and the full-text of selected journals. Auto alerts for current awareness are also available. To obtain a password, please call the Medical Library at 314-251-6340 or e-mail the library.
Whom should I call when I need information?
For searches, both biomedical or non-medical, contact Kathleen Alsup or Jennifer Plaat. For document delivery, contact Mayris Woods or Judy Duffy.
Can I check out books and journals?
Most books may be borrowed for a two-week period, with a one-week renewal.
The most current issue(s) of a journal may not be checked out during the first month after receipt. After a month, a current journal may be signed out overnight or over the weekend. Journals a year or more older may be signed out for one week and may not be renewed.
