"These were my first, so I did not know what to expect.  I had gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia.  I was admitted on a Thursday due to the pre-eclampsia and had to deliver early on Monday morning.  The babies spent three weeks in the NICU.  Now, thankfully they are healthy five year olds.  I have an opportunity now that they are older to give some of my time. I have joined the NICUPS to give back and help others during their journey in hopes of helping them feel they are not alone and that there is support out there for them during this stressful time."
