Respiratory Extension Therapy Program

The MU Respiratory Care Program now offers an extension program for a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Respiratory Care at the St. Louis campus.

Qualified candidates accepted into MU's Respiratory Care Extension Program may complete their BHS degree at St. John's Mercy Medical Center, participating in both classroom and clinical activities. Successful completion of the program entitles students to the Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Respiratory Care.

DEGREE INFORMATION
A Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from the University of Missouri requires a total of 132 credit hours, of which 70 are respiratory therapy courses. The length of the program varies, depending on credentials held, prerequisite courses completed and your choice of part-time or full-time enrollment. Prerequisites can be fulfilled in several ways, including through a local college or university.
