Thirty Days to Thrive!
If you have 30 days, we help you go from sick and tired to thriving! Experience how quickly small changes make a big difference in your energy level and vitality. Participants meet weekly for four weeks - each session focuses on learning new information, and putting it into practice to form healthy habits, with support from healthcare professionals and fitness experts. This course focuses on putting it all together. You will learn to impact your whole health by focusing on the foods, activities, choices and habits that really make a difference.
- Nutrition
- Learn to choose healthy fats and oils
- How to select the best fast foods when you’re on the go
- Picking nutrient-rich, lower calorie and high fiber foods
- Eating to increase energy and prevent disease
- Understanding the glycemic index in foods and its impact on your health
- Weight loss: choose foods wisely for nutritional value as well as for lower calories.
- Exercise and Mind/Body/Spirit Connection
- Starting an exercise program and how to stay motivated.
- Removing barriers to exercise
- Introduction to gentle stretching, relaxation and yoga.
