Digital Mammography Services

St. John's Mercy Hospital offers state-of-the-art digital mammography to detect and diagnose breast disease in women. All of our technologists are specially trained and certified in mammography. Digital mammography provides electronic images of the breasts that can be enhanced by computer technology, stored on computers, and even transmitted electronically.

Mammography does not eliminate the need for monthly self-breast examinations. St. John's Mercy Hospital encourages all women to follow the guidelines of the American Cancer Society:

  • Perform monthly self-exams
  • Regular visits to your physician, including a breast exam
  • Annual mammogram at age 40 or as recommended by your physician.

For more information about breast cancer and early detection, please call 636-239-8265.
