HEARTSAVER First Aid class to meet Sept. 25

The Educational Services Department at St. John’s Mercy Hospital will host HeartSaver First Aid on Sept. 25. This course teaches skills that people need to recognize emergencies at the workplace and give first aid until professional health care providers arrive.

The program will cover:

  • General Safety Principles
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Injury Emergencies
  • Environmental Emergencies

The class will not cover CPR.

The class will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 Sept. 25 in the Educational Services Department in the St. John’s Mercy Medical Building, 851 E. Fifth Street in Washington. The cost is $40 per person. Pre-registration is required. Participants will receive a certification card. For more information, or to register, call 636-239-8004.
