Horrell Joins St. John’s Mercy Hospital

Peg Horrell has joined St. John’s Mercy Hospital as director of Human Resources.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Peg’s experience and attention to detail working in our Human Resources Department,” said Terri L. McLain, president of St. John’s Mercy Hospital.  

Horrell has 30 years experience in human relations. Her previous employers include Angelica Uniform and Boeing (McDonnell Douglas at the time).

Horrell started with St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in west St. Louis County in 1993 as an Employment Manager. In 1994, she moved from the Medical Center to Mercy Medical Group as Human Resources Manager. She assumed additional responsibilities by supporting St. John’s Mercy Health Services and then Mercy Affiliated Physicians when they were formed.

Horrell will continue to serve as a director of Human Resources at St. John’s Mercy in St. Louis while serving as director of Human Resources at St. John’s Mercy Hospital.

“I’m happy to be a part of St. John’s Mercy, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to serve St. John’s Mercy Hospital,” Horrell said.

Horrell lives in Ballwin, Mo., and is engaged to be married to Byron Womack this winter. She has two daughters, Alexandria and Lauren.=
