St. John’s Mercy Hospital Presents Ask the Doctor:
All About Menopause

The public is invited to the next Ask the Doctor event, “All About Menopause,” which will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Tucker Room at St. John’s Mercy Hospital.

Dr. Christy Bleckman, an OB/GYN with Washington Women’s Health Care, will host the event. Dr. Bleckman will tell women what to expect from menopause. She will discuss the cause and effect of physical and hormonal changes, symptoms, treatments and separate fact from fiction.

“There are a lot of physical and emotional issues associated with menopause,” said Dr. Bleckman. “At Ask the Doctor, we will discuss the details of menopause and treatment options."

Ask the Doctor events allow the public to learn about a health topic from medical experts and then ask them questions. All Ask the Doctor sessions include refreshments and some will offer a light meal. Admission is free.

The presentations are held in the Tucker Room, located on the second floor of St. John’s Mercy Hospital, 901 E. Fifth St. in Washington. Reservations are not necessary. For more information, call Public Relations at 636-239-8234.
