Freedom from Smoking Series at St. John’s Mercy Hospital

Are you tired of your smoking habit? Thinking about quitting? Would you like to have help? The Educational Services Department at St. John’s Mercy Hospital is hosting a Freedom from Smoking Series starting Sept. 2.

The series starts with a free orientation that will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Tucker Conference Room at St. John’s Mercy Hospital, 901 East Fifth Street in Washington. Smokers who want to quit, or are thinking about quitting, are encouraged to attend the free orientation to determine if they want to continue with the Freedom from Smoking Series, a program that helps smokers become quitters.

Following the orientation, the Freedom from Smoking Series will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday from Sept. 2 to Oct. 14, and on Thursday, Sept. 25, in the Tucker Conference Room at St. John’s Mercy Hospital.

Although orientation is free, the cost to attend the entire Freedom from Smoking Series is $100. Checks should be made payable to St. John’s Mercy Hospital and are due at the Sept. 9 meeting. For more information, or to register, call 636-239-8004.
