The Sisters of Mercy Health System (Mercy) and Resource Optimization & Innovation
(ROi) received the 2006 Supply Chain Innovator of the Year award from the
Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals
(CSCMP).
Mercy was
honored from among more than 40 nominees for the ROi business model and supply
chain’s participation
in supporting the Mercy Meds medication administration process. ROi’s competition
for this prestigious honor included IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Procter & Gamble,
Kellogg’s and Dow Chemical.
This was the
first time that a health care provider was nominated for this honor.
CSCMP is the premier association of supply
chain professionals around the world, with more than 9,000 members from 62
different countries.
