The General Surgery Residency is an integrated program of St. John's Mercy Medical Center and Saint Louis University. SJMMC participates as an affiliated hospital in the Saint Louis University's accredited residencies of Urology, Otolaryngology, Vascular Surgery, and Colo-Rectal Surgery.

Appointments are made by the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Saint Louis University.
