Clinical Supervisor - Nursing

Summary
Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Corporate Values.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Summary
Under the direction of an RN, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care to patients in the assigned area. This includes providing care in conjunction with therapies as directed by other disciplines. Assists patients with meals and daily care. Administers medication and treatment as prescribed by physician. Transcribes physician's orders and documents on nursing PCP. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles.

Advanced Nurse Clinician

Summary
Responsible for implementing, in coordination with Department of Organizational Development, Nurse Managers and staff developers, programs aimed at improving competencies and increasing awareness of nursing trends. In conjunction with Nurse Manager, physician leaders, and administrator, develops and monitors QI program for the Unit/Care Center. Serves as a clinical consultant and a role model by planning and coordinating patient care in area of specialty practice. As a resource person for the Medical Center, consults with physicians, consumers, community and other heath care disciplines. Home Health Aide

Summary
Assists elderly, convalescent or disabled persons live in their own homes instead of in a health facility. Under the direction of nursing or medical staff, provides health-related services, such as administering oral medications. May assist with other duties, such as: checking pulse, temperature and respiration; helping with prescribed exercises; keeping patients' rooms neat; helping patients move from bed, bathe, dress and groom; changing nonsterile dressings; giving massages and alcohol rubs; assisting with braces and artificial limbs; assisting with ventilators.

Most home health aides work with elderly or disabled persons who need more extensive care than family or friends can provide. Some help discharged hospital patients who have relatively short-term needs. Home health aides may go to the same patients home for months or even years. However, most aides work with a number of different patients, each job lasting a few hours, days or weeks. Home health aides often visit multiple patients on the same day.
